PLB (Permanently Lubricated) HDPE ducts from Almax protect optical fiber cables across BharatNet, BSNL, RailTel and private OFC networks. Our ducts conform to TEC/GR/TX/CDS-008 with a coefficient of friction below 0.1 — enabling long-distance cable blowing.

What is the cable-blowing distance of Almax PLB ducts?+
Field blowing distances of 1.8–2.4 km per section are consistently achieved with our PLB ducts. Actual distance depends on OFC diameter, blower pressure, duct straightness and bend count. Coefficient of friction of our inner silicone layer is < 0.1.
Do you supply TEC-approved PLB ducts?+
Yes. Our PLB ducts conform to TEC GR/TX/CDS-008 and DoT specifications. Design approvals accepted by BSNL, RailTel, BharatNet, private telcos and infrastructure providers.
What sizes are available?+
Standard sizes: 32/26, 40/33, 50/42, and 63/54 mm (OD/ID). Custom colours and colour-coded ID marking available for large orders.
Are Almax PLB ducts UV-stable for above-ground storage before installation?+
Yes. PLB ducts contain 2%+ carbon black UV stabiliser and can be stored outdoors for up to 12 months before installation without any degradation.
