Agriculture & Irrigation — Pipe Solutions

Sprinkler, drip & farm water systems

Application Overview

How Almax pipes serve agriculture & irrigation

From sprinkler pipes to sub-main HDPE lines, Almax equips Indian farmers and PMKSY implementers with the pipes they need for water-efficient irrigation. Our HDPE sprinkler pipes are IS 14151 compliant and approved for central and state subsidy schemes.

PMKSY (Per Drop More Crop), state horticulture missions and PM-KUSUM solar-pump programs have made HDPE the standard pipe for modern Indian irrigation. Sprinkler systems save up to 50% water compared to flood irrigation, and drip systems save even more — but only if the underlying pipe network is durable, correctly sized and BIS-compliant. Almax supplies HDPE sprinkler pipes with quick-coupled joints for portable field networks, HDPE sub-main pipes for permanent buried networks, and column pipes for solar submersible pumps.

Why Almax
  • PMKSY & subsidy-scheme eligible
  • Portable quick-coupled joints
  • Uniform water distribution
  • 50% water saving potential
Key Applications

Where Almax pipes are deployed

Proven use-cases across agriculture & irrigation — supplied with full BIS documentation and third-party inspection support.

1

Sprinkler Irrigation Systems

IS 14151 compliant HDPE sprinkler pipes (63 mm–140 mm OD) with quick-couple joints for portable field networks. PMKSY subsidy-eligible.

2

Sub-main Buried HDPE Lines

PE 100 HDPE mains (75 mm–200 mm OD, PN 6–PN 10) buried between water source and field manifolds — corrosion-free service for 30+ years.

3

PM-KUSUM Solar Pump Column Pipes

HDPE riser / column pipes for solar submersible pumps under PM-KUSUM Component B & C — replacing corrosion-prone GI column pipes.

4

Farm Pond & Reservoir Filling Lines

HDPE pipes for filling farm ponds, MI tanks and check dams from tubewells or canal offtakes.

Frequently Asked

Questions from procurement & engineering teams

Are Almax sprinkler pipes eligible for PMKSY subsidy?+

Yes. Our HDPE sprinkler pipes are BIS-licensed to IS 14151 and are eligible for the "Per Drop More Crop" (PDMC) subsidy under PMKSY. State horticulture departments and empanelled MI companies accept our BIS documentation.

What sprinkler pipe sizes and pressure classes are available?+

Standard sprinkler pipes are 63 mm, 75 mm, 90 mm, 110 mm and 140 mm OD in PN 3.2 (Class 2) and PN 5 (Class 3) working pressures. Quick-couple joints in 6 m standard lengths.

Can HDPE column pipes replace GI in solar pumps?+

Yes — and they usually should. HDPE column pipes are corrosion-free (GI rusts within 3–5 years in most Indian borewell water), 1/8th the weight (easier to lift/service the pump), and last the full solar-pump life without replacement.
